ICRC – International Humanitarian Law resources for media professionals
Media professionals can freely access and use a number of resources on the nature and scope of international humanitarian law (IHL). Through these tools, the ICRC invites journalists to examine events and situations related to armed conflict from a different perspective, analyzing them through the prism of international humanitarian law.
By knowing and referencing IHL, journalists not only enhance their reporting and foster better safety for themselves on the ground, but they also promote a better understanding of armed conflict situations, humanitarian crises, and the work done by the ICRC and other humanitarian organizations.
